We had a fairly eventful week last week here at Systemato. Apart from attending networking meetings, servicing our clients as well as we always do and carrying on with our projects, we also had a couple of cool engagements we wanted to talk about.

First off, Carla delivered a talk (and coordinated activities) at the Business Leaders Malta ‘Blogging for Business‘ half day event. The Blogging for Business event was a lot of fun and we met tons of forward thinking people who want to drive their business using the tools the internet has provided to us.

In the end, we ran over time at the Blogging for Business event, simply because there was so much to say and the energy in the room was so awesome!

Business owners attentively listening toe very word uttered about blogging for business.

Secondly, Mark was also in the room during the Blogging For Business seminar, reason being, he was live blogging the whole event on our Twitter handle, Facebook page and his own LinkedIn page.

The live tweet was received very well indeed and a number of people expressed their dismay at having missed the event. A few choice tweets and images from the Business Leaders Malta Blogging For Business seminar follow below!

And a well deserved coffee for all!

Thanks very much to BLM’s Gianni, Josef and Debbie for their help, Alison for her central role in delivering keynotes alongside Carla, as well as all the attendees for their energy, curiosity and willingness to go along with the day’s proceedings!

If you’re interested in learning more about blogging, Carla is organizing a half day seminar about blogging too, so register your interest here!

Last week also saw Systemato take centre stage in small internet controversy.

Having read an opinion piece article penned for the Malta Independent newspaper by lawyer Peter Fenech and which contained a number of erroneous statements on social media which revealed a fatal misunderstanding of the phenomenon by the writer. Mark took it upon himself to set the record straight and so published this blog post by name of ‘Social Media – a Huge Misunderstanding’, and following contact with the Malta Independent itself, an opinion piece which was then published on the Malta Independent on Sunday.

Hope you enjoy the piece and that it helps you understand how social media works a little bit more! Have a great week!

We’ll take care of your blog.
